Brad & Jen's Baby Talk
Negotiations are underway for Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. But we're not talking agents and movie deals here. We're talking babies. Back in January, Brad said he wasn't ready to be a daddy. But he and wifie Jen are handling their parenthood decision like two superstars would: they're negotiating. The couple married last summer in a lush ceremony Brad described as "one of the coolest thing I've ever been to." Now, Jen's ready to be a mommy and it looks like she'll get her way. "The planning is under way, negotiations are taking place, and I'm willing to predict a successful conclusion," Brad said.
Madonna Banned This may surprise you, but Madonna's been banned. Her new video for the song, "What It Feels Like for a Girl," has been labeled too hot for MTV and VH-1. The video, directed by the pop star's hubby Guy Ritchie, features Madonna as an angry woman on a crime spree. A car crash ends the four & 1/2 minute video. But Madonna's rep says the video is against violence: "There is a lot of violence in the video. It tells the story of a woman who has probably been abused. It's very strong," Liz Rosenberg said. If MTV and VH-1 don't change their minds about airing the video, Madonna says she'll seek other outlets. America Online has already said it would make the video available on the Internet. Madonna's no stranger to censorship. Her 1990 video for "Justify My Love" has never been played in its entirety on MTV and still remains on the cable music channel's banned list. Leaping Into Space Sci-fi fans listen up! Your favorite Quantam Leaper may be headed back out of this world. Heavy rumors place Scott Bakula at the helm of the next Star Trek ship. If Scott accepts the role, he'll be cast as Capt. Jackson Archer, "a physical, intensely curious captain with a bold personality," according to Trek Today. He's currently working on a suburban family show Father Can't Cope. Don't worry if you've never heard of it. Not many TV schedules have the show in their lineup. The new Star Trek series will be the fifth but is slated to take place before the other four. Star Trek: Voyager makes its final flight on UPN this season. Terrorist Threats If you're a bodyguard then you don't have to worry about job security. Antonio Banderas is the second celebrity this year to be targeted by real-life bad guys. Russell Crowe recently received the news of a kidnapping plot against him. But Antonio received a death threat at his Marbella, Spain, home from terrorist group Euzkadi Ta Azkatasuna ("Basque Homeland and Liberty"). He reportedly upset the ETA when he denounced the group's killing of Jose Maria Martin Carpena, a Spanish political counselor. Antonio and wife Melanie Griffith have beefed up security, hiring full-time bodyguards to protect them. He's currently in the U.S. promoting his new movie Spy Kids.
