Survivor Sues
Stacey Stillman slapped a lawsuit on CBS and Survivor's creator Mark Burnett. Now, CBS is fighting back. Stacey's being countersued by Survivor Entertainment Group Inc. (SEG) for breach of contract and defamation. Execs claim she violated the $5 million confidentiality agreement she signed before appearing on the show. The contract prohibits her from revealing details and other private information about Survivor. SEG is also seeking an injunction to prevent Stacey from speaking further about the show.
Drew & Tom Escape Fire Drew Barrymore and Tom Green fled from Drew's burning Los Angeles home Sunday. She says they've lost everything in the blaze. Estimated damages to the 3,500 square foot house fall into the $700,000 range. The couple has their dog, Flossie, to thank for saving their lives. The pup woke the two around 3:30 a.m. by barking and clawing at their bedroom door. The fire was so bad, it took 60 firefighters to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. In related news, an insider working on the set of Drew's new movie, Riding in Cars with Boys, says Tom and Drew are getting hitched at the end of February. But Drew's mom denies the claim saying they're planning a summer wedding. If the couple plans to marry in February, the loss of their home might delay the ceremony. Naomi Banned You think you've got job trouble? Try working at a London boutique when Naomi Campbell shows up. The British supermodel became quite irate, even shouting at staff members for not opening the door fast enough for her. The exclusive shop requires customers to ring a doorbell to announce their arrival. Naomi finally entered the shop when another customer arrived. She immediately began a verbal assault on the boutique's staff members, upset about not being recognized and the door not being opened for her immediately. They tried to get her to calm down but she wouldn't. So they asked her to leave and phoned her modeling agency, informing them Naomi's membership to the boutique had been withdrawn. Naomi shouldn't feel too bad, though. Even Madonna and Julia Roberts ran into recognition problems at the same boutique. As for the staff members who received their verbal beating, they should be glad it wasn't physical. Naomi plead guilty last year to beating her assistant with a phone. Jen Needs A Bodyguard Many guys would be content enough to have "Jennifer Lopez's Bodyguard" on their resume. But not all of them. Jennifer Lopez fired one of her bodyguards after he was busted transporting drugs across the Canadian border. Jen and her entourage spent hours being searched for illegal narcotics. A drug-sniffing dog picked up the scent and found pot and hashish in the bodyguard's socks. Evidently, Jen doesn't want anything to do with further legal troubles. She's still on the witness list in ex-boyfriend Sean "Puffy" Combs' gun possession trial.
