The Next X She went from Mystic Pizza to Shag. But now she's hitting the airwaves. Annabeth Gish is set to star in three episodes of The X-Files. She has an option to return to the show as a regular, a decision that will be made based on fan response. Reports out of the X camp say Annabeth won't replace Gillian Anderson if Gillian decides to avoid season number nine. New regular Robert Patrick has already signed for next year but there's no official word that there'll even be a ninth season. Look for episodes featuring Annabeth to begin airing February 25.

New Year Newlywed Kate Hudson is officially a rock 'n' roll wife. She married Black Crowes lead singer Chris Robinson, 13 years her senior. Mommy Goldie Hawn was at the New Year's Eve ceremony in Aspen, Colorado. Kurt Russell, Goldie's longtime love and the man Kate calls "dad," was also in attendance. In fact, he gave the bride away. However, Kate's biological father, Bill Hudson, was not at the ceremony. Bill's been actively voicing his disgust with Goldie and Kate's behavior towards him.

Field of Dreams If you buy it, she'll say yes. That's what Kevin Costner is hoping anyway. He and girlfriend Christine Baumgartner were spotted shopping for diamond rings. Not Kevin's first trip to the altar. But his 16-year marriage to Cindy Silva ended in a bitter 1994 divorce. They have three children together. All of the kids like the idea of making Christine their stepmom. While Kevin's divorce wasn't related to his courtship with his new love, there were rumors of his wandering eye. Kevin does admit they were shopping for rings but he denies any marriage plans.

Hard Habits Shannen Doherty's bad girl ways lead to her departure from Beverly Hills, 90210. But the Charmed star doesn't seem to be ready to give up her old habits. She was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in Thousand Oaks, California. Officers pulled Shannen over after they saw her 2001 black Ford truck swerving across the Ventura Freeway. She took a field sobriety test on the spot and officers took her to jail for a blood test. She's since been released and was ordered to appear in court January 26. Shannen's last run-in with the law was back in 1997. She smashed a beer bottle on a car window during a heated argument outside a Hollywood bar. A Beverly Hills judge ordered her to attend anger-management counseling as part of her sentence.
