Scoop for the Week of December 22nd
Cameron Busts Up A Burglary It may not be the butt-kicking action, you'd see in Charlie's Angels, but Cameron Diaz single-handedly stopped a burglary in-process. She's in Rome on-location for Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. But when she returned to her five-star hotel room, she discovered two burglars. They dropped a couple of leather jackets and a laptop computer on their way out. However, they made off with another guest's jewelry and money. So just how did Cameron scare off these burglars? Was it a kick to the face? A fist to the stomach? Well, not exactly. She screamed. Calista Collapses You won't find a rabbit's foot in Calista Flockhart or Robert Downey Jr.'s possession. But maybe they should start carrying one. First, Robert's arrest. Now Calista's fainting spell. Doctors treated Calista after she passed out on the set of Ally McBeal. Her diagnosis was clear: dehydration and exhaustion. She spent six-hours in an L.A. hospital but was discharged later the same day. Calista is back at work but her publicist says Robert's legal problems have been quite stressful on the whole cast. Calista fainted during the taping of the 12th episode, the last Ally Robert is set to appear in. Miss Congeniality Takes A Nose Dive It's not the latest beauty pageant joke. It's not even a box office prediction about her new movie. Sandra Bullock received quite a scare when the small aircraft she and three others were traveling in skidded off the runway. No one was injured but icy conditions caused the mishap in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Jackson Hole is a popular resort town and no stranger to celebrities. In fact, Harrison Ford rescued a civilian there earlier this summer.
