So what better way to publicize your grand opening than by announcing that Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are getting married at your hotel. Bacara Resort and Spa is a 78-acre resort. The reports say the couple is planning a beachside wedding for Sept. 30 on the grounds. But Catherine's publicist says they are planning a wedding but it's not on the 30th and it's not in Santa Barbara, where this mystery hotel is located. Catherine and Michael's baby boy will be one month old this week. Michael's rep says they're too busy enjoying their new baby to be in full wedding-planning mode.
Live With Regis After Kathie Lee Kathie Lee's gone and the ratings are up! Live With Regis is bringing in a ratings hike over Live With Regis and Kathie Lee. While 7 million viewers watched Kathie Lee's farewell week - to make sure she really was leaving? - 4.2 million tuned in to watch Regis Philbin and his wife along with a variety of other co-hosts. Before Kathie Lee departed, execs were worried the show would falter. But after high publicity and suspense over who will fill the shoes as his new co-host, they've picked up an additional 5% of viewers. Kathie Lee left because she wanted to spend more time at home with her children. But she's still pursuing her career in stage, film and recording.
