Kathie Lee Quits While the audience gasped, many across America breathed a sigh of relief as Kathie Lee Gifford announced she is leaving Live with Regis and Kathie Lee. After 11 years on the syndicated morning show, she told co-host Regis Philbin, "It's time." She says she has songs to sing. Lucky us. She also says her decision to leave hinges on her efforts to protect her children, Cody and Cassidy. She'll stay on Live until July when her contract expires. The search for a new co-host is on and may end up being Regis's own wife, Joy. She's been a fill-in co-host many times when Kathie Lee was out.

And while Regis's contract doesn't expire until August 2001, it's rumored he wants to hang up his morning show duties as well. After all, Regis just received a big pay raise. He's locked in at $20 million a year in a new deal as his hosting duties on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

If David's new series doesn't work out, maybe he can join former Baywatch beauty Yasmine Bleeth's cast. Rumor has it, she's eyeing an NBC starring role in the upcoming Titans. But what about her role on Nash Bridges, you ask? Her contract runs out at the end of the current season. And she hasn't been asked back. Titans is described as being Dynasty in Beverly Hills. And it's being produced by the midas touch of Aaron Spelling who didn't have any trouble with Dynasty or Beverly Hills, 90210.

Halle Hit Details of a hit and run accident are slowly starting to come together. And it's not looking so good for Golden Globe winner, Halle Berry.
