CBS Not Touched By Dogma Ads You've probably heard or seen the new ads for the movie Dogma. If so, you've noticed the phrase, "Get 'touched' by an angel." So did CBS. They released a cease-and-desist letter ordering the company to remove the catchy phrase from all newspaper and radio ads. The network claims they received calls from confused viewers wanting to know the tie-in between Dogma and the Touched By An Angel show. Producers of Dogma weren't 'touched' by CBS's story.


Twain Tackles Thanksgiving How would you like to go to an NFL game and be treated to a concert afterwards? That's exactly what happened to Cowboys and Packers fans Sunday. After Dallas beat Green Bay on their Texas turf, Shania Twain charged down field to tape an upcoming CBS special. The special airs Thanksgiving day at 8 p.m. (ET). The hour-long special will be part two of CBS's three- night musical lineup. Other artists featured will be Celine Dion and Ricky Martin.




Kidman's Feeling The Crunch Nicole Kidman is taking a break. Literally. Mrs. Cruise has been ordered to take the next two weeks off. She suffered a rib fracture during a dance rehearsal for her new movie musical Moulin Rouge in Australia co-starring Ewan McGregor. She injured the rib several weeks ago but it hasn't healed properly. She won't be too lonely, though. Husband Tom is also Down Under shooting final pickup shots for Mission Impossible 2.


A Little Green To Soothe Those Hurt Feelings As if they needed it, the Backstreet Boys are $60 million richer. The Boys were more than upset when Jive records signed their rivals, 'NSYNC. The deal calls for significant money upfront as well as five more albums. Jive wouldn't comment but with the extra $60 mil in their pockets, you can bet the Backstreet Boys are enjoying the cool green salve on any leftover wounds.



Promise Of Overdue Pay Paula Abdul's Promise of a New Day turned into a promise of overdue pay when she wasn't compensated for a performance in Kentucky. Paula sued Straight Up and when representatives of the defendants didn't show, she automatically won her breach-of-contract lawsuit. She rushed, rushed to the bank with her well deserved $100,000.




Lewd House On The Prairie She may have grown up on the prairie but Melissa Gilbert's feeling the pinch of a modern day lawsuit. Her and hubby Bruce Boxleitner are being sued for $210,000 by the man who bought their Hidden Hills, CA, home. He claims he hasn't been able to move in since he bought the house in January.
