A Living Doll
Children, teens and even adults know who Britney Spears is. And most people like her. That's what
Play Along Toys is banking on anyway. They're releasing a line of
Britney Spears dolls. The doll collection resembles Britney in various music videos and live performances. No word yet on when Breast Implant Britney will hit the stores.
And you voted right here in the
Britney Spears - Role Model or Bad Influence - Poll. Over 60% of you already think she's a bad influence on children.
Britney's not your style? What about a
Cher doll? The new dolls will feature Cher's look in her video for the song "Believe." If only she could
Turn Back Time.
The Naked Truth
Bottoms and boobs have been touted all over
ABC's NYPD Blue. But now ABC is under fire for
not showing some of the aforementioned body parts. Holland Taylor of
The Practice is accusing ABC of ageism. The Emmy-winning legal drama attracted its largest audience ever with the Oct. 10 episode. An audience that was supposed to see a nearly nude Holland. The scene in question was supposed to feature a SWAT team breaking down the door to Jimmy's (Michael Badalucco) apartment only to find Holland's character, Judge Kittleson, au naturel. But ABC re-edited the scene so Holland was only seen from the neck up. The 56-year-old actress said, "To have a young woman semi-nude is a piece of cake, but having a mature woman [naked] makes people nervous." And those bottoms and boobs of
NYPD Blue haven't been that great either.
Tying The Knot
Three years and a lot of ridiculing later, Ellen DeGeneres and Anne Heche are still together. And they plan on legally tying the knot if a Vermont Supreme Court legalizes same-sex marriages. The lesbian couple announced their plans to a packed gymnasium at the University of Vermont. The pair was there to kick off Coming Out Week.
Abused Televisions
Did you panic? Kick the TV to make it work? Millions of TVs received some harsh blows and a few unmentionable words when viewers tried to tune into their favorite WB shows. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dawson's Creek, Felicity and the rest of the WB gang were yanked from WGN. Why? Why? You shriek. WGN owns 25% of WB. When WB started out five years ago, WGN agreed to air the network's programming to get them up and running. When other affiliates joined in, some areas of the country had WGN directly competing with WB. Confused yet? When WGN pulled the plug on the WB shows, the affiliates were happy but about 7 million fans were left in the dark. Want to find where your favorite WB programming went in your area? WB offers a toll-free number. Grab your phone and get ready to dial (888) 474-9292.
