Candid Camera Creator Dies
Allen Funt died Sunday from complications due to the stroke he suffered in 1993. The creator and former host of Candid Camera is best known for taping people caught in outrageous practical jokes. Up until his stroke six years ago, Funt continued to oversee production of the CBS show. His son, Peter Funt, continues the shows 51 year legacy by co-hosting Candid Camera with Suzanne Somers. Allen would have been 85 Sept. 16.
