King Recovering
Stephen King was walking near his
home in Maine when he was struck by a van. He was thrown 14 feet when the driver of a
minivan lost control of his vehicle after he was distracted by his Rottweiler. The driver
does not face charges. Officers did note, however, that King, 51, was in violation of the
law since he was walking in the same direction as traffic. King underwent more than seven
hours of surgery on his injured leg and hip Monday. Doctors say he will need at least a
year of major rehabilitation before he can regain the ability to walk normally. But his office
says his injuries are only from the neck down. His mental state is great. King is currently in
serious but stable condition at Central Maine Medical Center, where he will likely remain
for two to three weeks.

Jennifer Love Hewitt possibly have to worry about? Her Party of Five co-star's wife! Jennifer was
attacked by Scott Bairstow's wife. Seems the Mrs. believes Scott, 29, and Jennifer,
20, were having an affair. The two first met on the POF set last year and
began meeting secretly after work. When Marty Bairstow, pregnant at the time, first got
wind of the possible romance, she confronted her husband. Scott denied the rumors.
Jennifer and Marty even had lunch and laughed off the rumors. Then one day Marty
discovered differently. She found a seductive letter from Jennifer to Scott and a recording
of a steamy telephone conversation between the two. So Marty confronted Jennifer
outside Sony Studios. Jen burst into tears. Marty packed up the kids and filed for legal
separation. In an effort to get his wife and kids back, Scott became a born-again Christian.
But Mrs. B said she would only take him back if he wrote a letter to Jen's New York-based boyfriend Carson Daly of MTV's Total
Request Live. In the letter Scott blamed Jennifer for their flirtation saying it was she
who caused him to almost lose his wife and sons. Now everyone knows what she did

What would you do if your 11-year-old son picked up an Austin Powers doll that asked, "Do I make
you horny baby, do I?" A Georgia woman filed an obscenity complaint against Toys R Us
Tuesday. Tamatha Brannon of Atlanta said she had to explain the meaning of "horny" to
her son. She was so offended she bought two of the toys and turned one over to the
