Those Curly Locks Julia Roberts has always been known for her hair. But she recently took that to an extreme level. She showed up at the premiere of Notting Hill in a sleeveless number that gives new meaning to fur trim. The smiling and waving Roberts didn't bother shaving her pits for the movie premiere co-starring Hugh Grant. For once, Grant's girlfriend, Liz Hurley, wasn't the center of attention. But Roberts' boyfriend, Benjamin Bratt of Law and Order, doesn't seem to mind. Roberts appeared on Law and Order for the 200th episode. Julia says she's been begging Bratt for months to get her a part. Just in time, since Bratt has announced he's leaving the show. As far as Notting Hill, Grant's a little concerned about Roberts' superstar status. It's being hailed as the new Julia Roberts film. Who Grant?

Flockhart Not Flocking To Interviews The media is having a feeding frenzy and Calista Flockhart, star of Ally McBeal, is fed up with eating disorder rumors. When Today wouldn't agree to stay away from the weighty question, Flockhart backed out of a long-scheduled interview. She was also a no show on David Letterman's Late Show. Rumor has it a spokesperson for Dave refused to confirm that Dave would stay away from the issue so Calista purged herself from the interview. Representatives for Flockhart say it was merely a scheduling conflict. So what's up with Rosie? Rosie O'Donnell said she wouldn't munch on the eating disorder issue when Flockhart visits. But Flockhart didn't show for Rosie - again for that scheduling conflict thing. But I'm sure Rosie's not bitter. After all, she's got other things on her mind. Her efforts to buy gal pal Madonna's South Florida mansion failed so Rosie bought a house costing $6.75 million on Star Island instead. Her new Home Sweet Home is said to have had a shady history back in the '70s. Seems the defunct Zion Coptic Church reportedly ran a marijuana trafficking ring from the house. Church members were accused of smuggling marijuana and smoking it as a sacrament. Sure doesn't sound like any church I've ever been to.

The X-Child Double X's for David Duchovny. For those of you who have forgotten high school biology as much as the rest of us, those two X-chromosomes equal one baby girl. Duchovny's wife and actress, Tea Leoni, gave birth to their first child April 24. Duchovny jokingly said if the baby was a boy they'd name him David Duchovny, Jr. A girl, David Duchovny, Jr. Leoni had her own opinion and the couple decided on Madelaine West Duchovny. Little Maddy's already got a playmate. X-Files co-star Mitch Pileggi (Detective Skinner) and his wife recently had a baby girl too.
