In other celebrity news, long-time celebrity actress Shelley Winters (age 85), passed away in a Beverly Hills, California nursing home. Ms Winters had a long, distinguished career as a character actress spanning over 55 years. She won two Oscars, one for 'The Diary of Anne Frank' in 1959 and one for 'Patch of Blue' in 1965. In addition, she was nominated for two others: 'A Place in the Sun' in 1951 and 'The Poseidon Adventure' in 1972. Altogether, she appeared in 130 films and TV movies. Ms Winters was a Method actress who lived with celebrity superstar comedic actress Marilyn Monroe in Hollywood in the 1950 when they both studied Method acting at the Actor's Studio under the famed acting teacher Lee Strasberg.
