St. Michael The Archangel

St. Michael has more than one role in his heavenly mission to humanity from defender of Christians to ministering of the sick, his presence with the other angels at Mass, and his loyalty to God. It is documented that he assisted St. Joan of Arc in the Divine Mission of restoring peace to the French. In this same country he appeared at Mont Michael where there is a shrine consecrated in his honor.

Perhaps it was Divine Will to make St. Michael known through these extraordinary happenings, so the rest of us know that St. Michael's compassion extends to every soul on earth. He wants to bring the love and grace of Jesus Christ to everyone. But St. Michael needs humans to cooperate by trying to imitate his virtues and his absolute zeal for the glory of God.

St. Michael is known for his healing powers and placing provinces under his protection against the onslaught of disease and pestilence. His concern for health is a natural extension of his compassionate nature as St. Michael knows that despair and hopelessness which are trademark signs of the dark can breed in sickness, although many offer up their ailments for redemptive purposes bringing peace and order to their surroundings and situations.

If you want to find angels you will find them at Mass, where thousands of angels assist under the leadership of St. Michael and his protection of the Host. The Mass begins, and St. Michael's name is mentioned in the confession of faults made by the priest at the foot of God's altar, the faithful following in their turn. St. Michael is often shown bearing incense, the smoke signifying prayers ascending before the heavenly throne.

What the dark forces hate the most is St. Michael's great loyalty to God.
