Latin Mass: Just LinksI got interested in learning more about the Tridentine Mass (traditional mass, also called Latin Mass) because I am interested in attending very reverent masses. The solemn mystery of the Catholic Church appeals to me as I have found life itself to be mysterious. A brief history. After Vatican II, Pope Paul VI promulgated a revised Missal using vernacular languages. There is still controversy between Church traditionalists and those supporting the revised and modern language liturgies. Groups vary. There seem to be three main points of view. (1) Some support the Pope, but want to return to the Tridentine Mass. (2) Some just don't support the Pope John Paul II at all. (3) Some people don't mind the revised liturgy, but want it said in Latin. There are no Tridentine Masses said near me, so I searched the Internet for learning resources. Here is what I found: 1. Latin Liturgy Association Home Page. This group is unique in that it supports using the revised missal translated into Latin and the Tridentine Mass. This is a North American group cooperating with associations in Europe. 2. The Remnant Resistance.
