Wish I Was Thered Fittipaldi. "I have long admired their racing and welcome an opportunity to be a part of it." Fittipaldi, nephew of racing legend Emerson Fittipaldi, joins a very small fraternity of drivers who have raced in Formula One, ChampCar and NASCAR. Fittipaldi, born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and current resident of Key Biscayne, will attempt to join Mario Hernandez of Miami as the only Hispanic drivers to ever race in the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series. Hernandez made his debut at the Sam's Town 250 in Memphis on October 13. "It's tremendous to see Christian Fittipaldi will be a part of the NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Grand National Series weekend here in South Florida," said Curtis Gray, President of Homestead-Miami Speedway. "This is a major event for race fans throughout the South Florida market and the world." Fittiapaldi's team will be sponsored by Mike's Hard Lemonade and will be a second entry to the Innovative Motorsports' No. 48 Goulds Pumps Chevrolet driven by Kenny Wallace. "We are very happy to provide Christian with this opportunity" said George DeBidart of Innovative Motorsports. "We welcome his talents to our race team and respect his desire to attempt to race in NASCAR. He is as pure a racer as we have seen, and we believe that his talent will translate to stock car racing." Driving For A Championship
