Season Points Standings

Team Penske putting together a 4th place finish at Surfer's Paradise for de Ferran gives him his second series championship. I follow the series fairly closely, and I have to admit it was a sneaky win for de Ferran. He was simply the best, the most consistent in a quiet way.

CHRISTIAN FITTIPALDI TO COMPETE IN NASCAR BUSCH SERIES MIAMI 300

MIAMI, FL (October 29, 2001) -- Christian Fittipaldi, current driver with the Newman/Haas ChampCar team, will attempt to qualify and race in the NASCAR Busch Series Miami 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 10 in an entry fielded by Innovative Motorsports. The Miami 300 is the Saturday race of the NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Series weekend, November 9-11 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
