The Chevrolet Corvette

Americans have always had a fascination with America's Best known sports car - The Chevrolet Corvette. The 1997 Corvette was unveiled recently at Auto shows simultaneously in Detroit and Los Angeles. Many people believe the 1997 Corvette is without a doubt, the best Corvette ever.

The 1997 "C5" is so good, even the best of the 1984-96 C4's don't compare. The C5 has the power, handling and comfort not found in the earlier years. The new styling with it's long-hood/short-deck is more typical of mid-year (1963-67) model corvettes.

With a manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price of $38,000, the new Corvette is the bargain of the sportscar century!

Even with the excitement of the new Corvette, one cannot forget the classic Corvettes. It is still a dream of many to own one of the best known cars in America. Owners of every year Corvette are like a big family. A well known tradition among Corvette owners is "The Wave". What is "the wave"? It is a way Corvette owners acknowlege one another with a flip of the hand as they pass each other along the road. A campaign is ongoing among Corvette owners to "Save the Wave".

While many car models have come and gone, the Corvette has been with us since 1953. The Corvette is not likely to ever die out. It will remain a very desired vehicle. It is truly an American tradition that will be here for many years to come.

No Steve, In fact I completely agree. I was merely pointing out that the
