From the airport drive approximately 1 1/2 hours west via U.S. Interstate 40 and Highway 421 to Wilkesboro, NC (see driving directions from points East below).

Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Charlotte, NC - This major airport is a U.S. Airways hub however Delta, Northwest, American, United, Continental, and other airlines also offer flights serving this airport. From the airport drive approximately 1 1/2 hours northwest via U.S. Interstate 77 and Highway 421 to Wilkesboro, NC (see driving directions from points South below).

From Points East: Take U.S. Interstate 40 West to Highway 421 at Winston Salem, NC. Take Highway 421 North 49 miles to Highway 268 West in Wilkesboro (You will see a sign for Wilkes Community College at this exit). Continue on 1/2 mile past the entrance for Wilkes Community College to the Blue Lot parking and shuttle.

From Points West: Take U.S. Interstate 40 East to U.S. Interstate 77 North at Statesville, NC. Travel Interstate 77 North for 23 miles to Highway 421 North. Travel 21 miles on Highway 421 North to Highway 268 West in Wilkesboro (You will see a sign for Wilkes Community College at this exit). Continue on 1/2 mile past the entrance for Wilkes Community College to the Blue Lot parking and shuttle.

From Points South: Take U.S. Interstate 85 North to U.S. Interstate 77 North at Charlotte, NC. Travel Interstate 77 North for 63 miles to Highway 421 North. Travel 21 miles on Highway 421 North to Highway 268 West in Wilkesboro (You will see a sign for Wilkes Community College at this exit). Continue on 1/2 mile past the entrance for Wilkes Community College to the Blue Lot parking and shuttle.
