Option 1 - From Raleigh and Rocky Mount, NC take U.S. Highway 64 East all the way to Nags Head.
Option 2 - From Elizabeth City, NC and points in Northeastern North Carolina and Southeastern Virginia take Highway 158 East to Kitty Hawk.
Option 3 - From Norfolk, Hampton, and Virginia Beach, VA take Virginia Highway 168 to U.S Highway 158 to Kitty Hawk.
Option 4 - For a longer and more scenic drive which passes through Matamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge and Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge take U.S. Highway 264 from Greenville, NC to U.S. Highway 64 East at Manns Harbor, NC. Follow Highway 64 East to Nags Head.

Airports - if traveling to the area by air here are some airports to consider:
Norfolk International Airport - Norfolk, VA
Pitt-Greenville Airport - Greenville, NC
