Inspiration: Selected Suite101 Resources
There are so many inspiring topics and contributing editor/writers here at the Suite that I feel I am only skimming the surface. Here are some more resources with with I am familiar. Contributing Editor, Nichel Anderson's Harlem Renaissance, has become a major site on the Net for well-written, often inspiring looks at African-American writing, art and culture of the early part of the 20th century. Nichel is also the Reading Center Manager at Suite101 and also teaches a course at Suite University, The Joy of Reading. Her excellent and interestingly written topic, Folklore, often has inspiring articles or insights drawn from the folklore of antiquity or modern times. Look no further than Joy Butler's Extraordinary Animals for inspiring glimpses into the wonderful world of animals. Joy's love of animals shines through her writing as she celebrates their heroicism and exceptional intelligence. While not an inspirational site in itself, Anne Ellis' Shamanic Healing is often uplifting in its insights into healing mind, body and spirit. At Christian Humor Dan Ellsworth provides gentle often uplifting humorous essays as he explores Christian living and pokes fun at all our human foibles (including his own). Carolan Nathan brings her many years of studies in consciousness to a Suite University seminar, in Nurturing the Self: A Guide to Tapping Your Inner Being, an uplifting and dynamic course in self-awareness. With Natural Health Contributing Editor, Traute Klein, explores natural healing modalities for body and soul. You will often find pragmatic yet inspiring articles written a la Traute with dashes of "Old World" style and culture befitting her Teutonic background. A medical condition is not usually thought of as particularly inspiring, but Katherine Rabenau consistently moves me with her insights into Agoraphobia. Well, I have probably left out as many great topics as I have put
