Mr. Martin Regretsfated to forget that true self sometimes and perhaps like all of us wallow in regrets and worries, want to be that "one more rich in hope" as I compare my self to others. Maybe this is all the play of God, lilas as our Hindu brethren sometimes call the eternal game of hide and seek that we play with God (or higher self). Though I see that I continually forget who I am, God (or whatever you wish to call "all that is") always helps me remember who I am. That's part of the job description of the Ultimate, I believe. Besides, some of those roads that I regret not taking may just have been my higher power protecting me from some unpleasant consequences. Who knows? I have regrets and suppose I always will. I guess that I will just have to accept them and move on into greater acceptance and joy in living. Copyright 2004, Thomas James Martin, all rights reserved.
