Beaches Although St. Maarten/St. Martin is home to approximately 36 beaches, each is truly unique with everything from calm, secluded coves and kid-friendly caves to rugged sandstone cliffs and high-traffic hot spots. However, their one commonality is fabulous, clean white sand and pristine, wildlife-filled water. Copecoy Beach Surrounded by rugged sandstone cliffs and void of any restaurants or bars, this narrow stretch of beach is perfect for a semi-secluded getaway. Longue Bay Known for its snorkeling and long, quiet beach, Longue Bay is an extension of Cupecoy, minus the cliffs. Dawn Beach A popular snorkeling and body surfers' hangout, this beach accompanies an offshore reef. Maho Beach Situated directly in the airport's flight line, Maho Beach is a popular spot complete with music festivals and beach parties. Baie Rouge Everything from a quaint food and drink shack to lounge chairs and equipment rental is available at this fabulous find. In addition to the sun and fun, you'll also find a great view of the country cousin, Anguilla. Orient Bay As a local hot spot, Orient Bay is fully equipped for the perfect party. Here you'll find everything from jet skis and equipment rental to live bands and restaurants. Real adventurers can wander towards Club Orient for a clothing optional experience.
