In this article (and a few more to follow this one), we would like to introduce the Caribbean Island region of our world. Even though this region is one of the most visited on the entire planet by people from the United States, most Americans do not realize how very little they have seen when they return from their cruises or their vacation resorts.
During the past decade, we have had the privilege of taking about 60 weeks of cruises. Most of those have sailed in Caribbean waters. In that same time, we have also spent a total of about 8 months on various islands staying at what are commonly called, "land resorts". One of the most common occurrences that we have noticed during those trips is that most people traveling to the various places are, without realizing it, 'herded' like sheep or cattle. They are unknowingly manipulated so as to show them what certain people want them to see. The purpose of course is to also PREVENT them from seeing portions of the islands that the travel professionals would prefer they NOT see. One might ask, "But is something like that really bad? Are they not trying to help the traveler get the most enjoyment from their vacation? Isn't it for our own good?" In order to answer those questions, I would like to ask the reader to consider just one thought... What is known to be the most powerful cause of 'manipulations' and 'mind-control' efforts on the planet? You are correct! The answer is very simply "MONEY". With such knowledge it becomes easy to understand the motivating force or factor behind all of the "herding" of tourists that goes on throughout the world. The process works like this... If a tourist oriented business or tourist attraction is willing to pay the price, they become part of the FEATURED "must see" portions of the island where they are located. If for some reason, there are aspects of the island that are not profitable to show, then those are kept 'hidden' as much as possible. Now, I want to make it very clear that I can certainly understand why money 'talks' very loud in the Caribbean basin. Very close to 100% of those islands located in that region fall into the classification of being relatively "poor" on the world scene. Most of them are too distant from commercial centers to be able to have a viable market for any large quantity of manufactured goods, and most of them are not wealthy enough to build the factories to produce such goods. Therefore, the main source of income is normally from tourism. When visiting the islands, the tourist who tries to 'feel' the 'pulse' of the people will certainly find themselves totally sympathetic with the seriousness of the situation, and will certainly understand why the power of the tourist dollar is so important to those people. Without it many would literally starve. However, the factor that troubles ME is that while the locals are very dependent upon the tourist dollar, in actuality they receive a very small portion of the money spent by tourists in their homeland. I believe that is a real CRIME!
