Discover beautiful Victoria, British Columbia while you stay at Birds of a Feather Bed and Breakfast. Innkeepers Annette and Dieter have a lovely establishment, which is located on an ocean Migratory Bird Sanctuary. The hosts make you will feel right at home. Birds of a feather is an intimate, adult oriented bed and breakfast. The view from the deck and dining room is breathtaking. Birds of a Feather hold people's relationships in the highest regard. Annette and Dieter are honored when Birds of a Feather is chosen for weddings, honeymoons or special anniversaries. They extend the same room rate in effect when you honeymoon with them for your silver, gold, emerald or diamond anniversaries. For those who are married in Victoria, Annette and Dieter offer to assist with details. In Spring, Summer and Fall, they recommend the Gardens at Hatley Castle. These gardens are free for small parties. Your hosts can also put you in touch with a Marriage Commissioner who is authorized to perform the ceremony. For romantic occasions, Annette and Dieter invite you to a romantic getaway in front of the wood burning fireplace. What a cozy way to spend a romantic evening with the love of your life. Birds of a Feather offer many other unique services as well. You will awaken to the aroma of a home-cooked breakfast. The meals are delicious. Through the day you can stroll the rustic beaches, which offer a spectacular view of the majestic, snow capped Olympic Mountains. Here, you can collect driftwood or, in the evening, enjoy sitting around a campfire. For a nature experience, hike through the local parks or use Birds of a Feather's courtesy kayaks, rowboats, bicycles and canoes to access Royal Roads University where you can explore Hatley Castle and the Gardens. Take a walk to historic Fort Rodd Hill, a coastal artillery fort that was built in the late 1800's to defend Victoria and Esquimalt Naval Base. You can explore gun batteries, underground magazines, guardhouses and barracks. Fisgard Lighthouse offers great displays that tell of shipwrecks and lives saved. Friendly staff, signs, and audio-video stations make both of these National Historic sites a delight to visit. Here, you can watch graceful white swans and majestic bald eagles along with sixty other species that call Esquimalt Lagoon home. Take a fifteen minute drive to beautiful Butchart Gardens, fifty acres of floral finery and breathtaking views. Visit the Sunken Garden and Rose Garden where past traditions are maintained. Butchart Gardens have delighted visitors for almost a century.
