Want to take the kids on a trip of a lifetime? Then Victoria, British Columbia is the place to go. Scenic panoramas and breath taking views will remain in their memories forever. Be sure to take along an umbrella. Victoria is well known for rain, but don't let it put a damper on your fun. There's lots to do in Victoria, rain or shine.

Located at the bottom of Douglas Street, Beacon Hill Park is awesome. The seventy-five hectare (200 acre) park was established in 1882. It is made up of manicured landscapes that include lakes, ponds, bridges and a rock garden. A variety of waterfowl can be found on Goodacre and Fountain Lakes.

Heron and bald eagles nest in the park to the delight of both the young and young at heart. Drop by Beacon Hill Children's Farm and the petting zoo for some great animal fun.

If your kids love bugs and insects, the Victoria Bug Zoo will be to their liking. They will delight in this fascinating world of insects that includes an ant farm. A great way to spend the day.

The Maritime Museum of British Columbia will be a memory the kids treasure for years. They will explore the exciting world of Maritime history, learn about pirates, visit the Crow's Nest and learn about shipbuilding, whaling and fishing.

Take the little tykes on a journey beneath Victoria's Inner Harbour at Pacific Undersea Gardens. They will be enthralled with the Crystal Gardens, where thousands of tropical plants flourish in a glass conservatory. A cascading waterfall, ponds, streams, tropical birds, free flying butterflies, the world smallest monkeys and lemurs will all add to the enchantment and make their eyes sparkle with delight. This is a perfect spot to spend a rainy day.

Miniature World is another place that will make the kid's eyes light up with wonder. Visit the world's smallest sawmill and experience the magic of death defying High Wire Acts. Two of the World's Largest Dollhouses are on display, or you can wander the Enchanted Valley of Castles.

Take the kids on a trip back in time by renting a horse drawn carriage. You can choose to tour Heritage Homes of Beacon Hill, the ivy covered Empress Hotel, or the lovely Inner Harbour. Wherever you decide to go, the kids will love the clip-clop of the horses hooves as they ride in this early mode of transportation.
