The 29th Annual Juno Awards, the awards dedicated to honoring the best in Canadian music, were held over two nights this year: Saturday, March 11, and Sunday, March 12.

The majority of the awards were presented on the first night at a dinner banquet, leaving only 11 major awards to be presented during the Sunday night televised Junos (which also included many excellent performances by nominated artists). Although many artists received more than one nomination, no one took home more than two awards. Alternative group Prozzäk was particularly unlucky -- nominated for five awards, Simon and Milo (formerly of "The Philosopher Kings") didn't take home a single statue.

In addition to a special achievement award given to Emile Berliner, the following thirty awards were given out Saturday night among the selected nominees:
