CTV's Fall Line-Up: American ImportsRoswell (from WB): Described as "The X Files" meets "Dawson's Creek", this series (also refered to as "Roswell High") centers around a 1950's type setting in Roswell, New Mexico. The main character is Liz Porter (played by Shiri Appleby) is the typical high school teen who doesn't believe in aliens until she finds out that Roswell is just plumb full of aliens and alien descendants -- even her own boyfriend! The series also reportedly co-stars Jason Behr, Brendan Fehr, Katherine Heigl, and Majandra Delfino. Snoops (from ABC): From "Ally McBeal"'s David E. Kelley comes this hour-long drama that looks at the behind-the-scenes routines in the private investigation business. Like the floundering "Chicago Hope", though, "Snoops" will be left primarily to it's own devices while Kelley concentrates on his other shows. Don't expect the typical private eyes though -- not only is nothing ever typical on a Kelley show, but these private eyes are touted as being "extremely high tech". The main stars of "Snoops" are slated, so far, as Gina Gershon (from the 1997 hit movie "Face/Off") and Paula Marshall (from the quickly cancelled 1998 drama "Cupid"). The West Wing (from NBC): This series comes from Aaron Sorkin, the man behind the movie "The American President". Martin Sheen plays the president of the United States in this hour-long drama, and Rob Lowe steps onto the small screen to play his playboy assistant. It's sort of a cross between "Spin City" and "The American President", with a little White House humor thrown in for good measure. Then Came You (from ABC): Reportedly, this comedy is about a woman in her mid-thirties who embarks on a torrid affair with a young man in his twenties, despite the disapproval of family and friends. Names associated with the series are Susan Lloyd and Thomas Newton, and reportedly the creative force behind the series is Betty Thomas. Third Watch (from NBC): From "ER" creator John Welles comes this new dramatic series, centering around firefighters, paramedics, and police officers. It's possible that there could be "ER" cross-overs in the "Third Watch" future. The title reportedly comes from the work shift the show will focus on -- the hours between 3:00 pm and midnight. The cast reads like a who's who manual of primetime soaps -- series regulars will reportedly include Eddie Cibrian (formerly of "Baywatch" and currently on NBC's low-rated daytime sudser "Sunset Beach"), Coby Bell (from the cancelled "L.A. Doctors"),
