4) Made-For-TV Movies & Others. There are an increasing number of made-for-TV movies being made in Canada now. One of the more recent to hit the airwaves was a movie adaptation of the Mary Higgins Clark mystery "While My Pretty One Sleeps", and other successes have been the made-for-TV Harlequin romance movies. Usually they will have Canadian actors, but sometimes a heavy hitter will be pulled in from the US to pull in viewers. Canadian networks also air the same movies that will air on the American stations, the "adapted for television" versions of big screen movies, but often will choose to air the movies that were rated PG in the theatres over the movies rated R.

In future articles, I will discuss various television shows, Canadian television events (such as the televised Canadian awards shows), and other related issues.
