Paula: What are your goals?
Evan: To me, it's all about telling stories. If I can just continue telling stories in whatever way -- fiction, television. I see myself as a storyteller, not as a fiction writer or journalist. That's my job; the whole endeavor is to contribute to society from a storytelling point of view, to tell better stories. On television I try to give space to authors who have stories to tell and I started Shift because magazines are chronicles of an unfolding culture every month and that participates to reflect who we are and witness and change our story. Fiction is another way. My ambition is to continue to do that and hopefully along the way tell a few good ones.
