Being a diabetic is not the most horrible thing that can happen to you. With careful monitoring, you can lead a normal life and enjoy most of the foods you love. Be safe. Don't become a statistic.

Canadian glucose levels should run between 4.0 and 6.9. If your glucose level is at the high end of this scale, you are in very real danger of becoming a diabetic.

American glucose levels should be at 100 before eating and at NO time should go over 140 to 150. If you are at the high end of this scale you are in very real danger of becoming a diabetic.

These glucose levels are the same. The only difference is that Canadian and American health care professional measure glucose levels differently.

Congrats on another great article, Mary. I usually only enter 'Health' via its home page so am overlooking the fact that many Health articles are hiding just below the surface.
