They say that fishing the Snake River and Teton's lakes is pure joy for the sportsman. Biking in the park is pretty darn good as well. Although off-road riding is prohibited, there are some excellent unpaved and paved roads on which to bike. A number of great park programs are also available to visitors on a year round basis. Other park activities include paddling, mountaineering, wildlife viewing and, of course, camping. There are two privately operated (concessionaires') campgrounds that provide Rvers with full hookups and accept advanced reservations. Flagg Ranch Trailer Village (1-800-443-2311) is situated just north of Grand Teton and has 100 trailer and 75 tent sites. The resort also has a lodge, restaurant, grocery, gas station and other amenities. Colter Bay Trailer Village (1-800-628-9988) has 112 sites and has similar facilities. Both offer a wide range of outdoors activities including horseback riding, scenic tours, lake and river cruises, hikes and fishing programs. It is advisable to have reservations during the peak visitor months (June-September). Wyoming is indeed a beautiful state with enough attractions and outdoors activities to last a lifetime of vacations. Bridger-Teton National Forest is easily accessed from the John D. Rockefeller Parkway. Also, US Highway 26 is a scenic byway that leads southeast from the Parkway. For more information on Wyoming, try the Wyoming Business Council's
