Weeding for Your Health
Natural Herbicides. Here's a particular favorite method of mine, and it's inexpensive, too. I make my own natural slurry seal weed killer by mixing inexpensive sulphate of ammonia fertilizer with water. Sulphate of ammonia is available for only a few dollars for a 20-pound bag. It is usually used to green lawns up in fall and winter since it contains all nitrogen. However, I'm sure your Mom told you when you were a kid how too much of anything can be bad. Well, she was right. Too much sulphate of ammonia will kill weeds or almost anything else it touches.
Consider these "healthy" ways to rid your garden of weeds. Mother Nature will thank you for it.
