Making Sense of Terms


Don’t feel Culinary Challenged when you come across strange sounding terms and names. Getting lost in a jungle of terms you are trying to understand can be very frustrating. To lead you out of this tangled web it can sometimes become - there are available online glossaries for baking ingredients and baking terms. Its important to know what a term exactly means so there is no mystique in your baking efforts. Its not a shame if you come across a term and don’t know what it means - but it is a shame if you don’t find out what it means and how to use it properly in a baking context. The following is a sampling of some of the online resources available and I will include more as I find them. Lots of these sites also have sections on other areas that might interest pertaining to Baking and Cake Decorating - so don’t hesitate to explore.
