You don’t just have to have a holiday tree in your living room but why not on your dining room table? Martha Stewart has a great way to incorporate gingerbread as a holiday decorating option
with the non-edible ornamental Star Cookie Tree at:

Or how about making different shaped gingerbread cookies in a festive centerpiece. There are so many different types of fun cookie cutter shapes to use - the options are limitless. If you want a non-edible decoration then once decorated you can hot glue a floral pick or small wooden dowel to the back of the completely dried cookie. Or if you want an edible version then once you cut out the cookie place a wooden popsicle stick on the back of the cookie and then bake - like a lollipop cookie .You can then insert the cookie pops into a basket or container that has a styrofoam block in the bottom and then decorated with holiday silk greenery, some ornamental balls(like the ones used to decorate trees) and perhaps some candy canes and tinsel. Please be sure and inform your guests that if doing the non-edible version not to eat them. But if you are doing the edible version encourage them to take one to enjoy. If there are some other ways that you have utilized gingerbrwead in imaginative ways - I’d love to hear about it and would like to include them in an article of ideas from people who visit this site.
