At King Arthur Flour (http://www.KingArthurFlour.com) they offer a complete King Cake Kit - with everything included except the hidden treasure. Their King Cake has an almond paste filling which they state (in their catalog) is not traditional but delicious.
Or if you would like to do a design in buttercream on a regular cake then you can go to Bakery Craft's site(http://www.bakerycraft.com) where they available for you to print out a copy of their King Cake design.
