Fertilizers are not all bad. However, the more judicious use of fertilizers is recommended. There are excellent slow-release fertilizers on the market. They leach out of the soil over time and dissolve more slowly than liquid fertilizers.

Organic fertilizers are not necessarily better or worse than inorganic types. If they release nitrogen too quickly, they are not good choices.
