The Maze at Arthurs Seat in Victoria - Pt. 2Welcome to part two of this wonderful story.I hope you will enjoy your browse with us. Have you ever been fortunate enough to go through a man-made maze? Here in Victoria Australia, we have some really interesting ones. Join us while we continue to browse through the one at Arthurs Seat and look at some lovely photos of some of the grand kids as well. Of course the gardens are just full of interesting statues and objects dotted all through. Just as you finish being amazed by one, there is another around the corner to thrill you as well. These beautiful statues are carved from stone and attracted so much attention. They really set the garden beds apart from others. The kids just loved them all. This particular dwarf one was one the kids took a liking to. Because it was small, they decided they could climb on it, until we stopped them and then they wanted the photo as a momento to put in the album. This particular photo is an interesting one, as it shows the kids standing near a very tall scarecrow. They all have a flag each. These red flags were what you carried through the corn maze and if you happened to get a little lost, you could hold the flag up so you could be rescued. The main maze of course, is made of Cypress and has to be maintained by keeping it trimmed top and sides. You can get an idea of the size of it by this photograph of Sue-Anne sitting down beside it.
