Inevitable though it was, many "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fans are in shock at the final demise of "The Bronze" posting board. A hybrid between a message board and a chat room, "The Bronze" was often the site of V.I.P. visits by members of the "Buffy" cast and crew. While there are many other "Buffy" message boards, mailing lists and chat rooms on the 'net, "The Bronze" was unique and will be missed.

As one poster to the WB "Angel" message board, "X-Lander," pointed out:

"The Bronze went down at 8:15 Eastern Time. We all mourn the loss of the greatest Internet Community. Pity that The Bronze couldn't have stayed up for the use of Angel fans. It could have been renamed Caritas. Sigh."

Now, why didn't The WB think of that?
