The prices are all the excitement I need. In addition to the season pass, there are family passes. If you try the park for one day and want to return the next, you can purchase a second-day half price ticket. All the standard chain hotels surround Carowinds from the budget to luxury suites. Many area hotels sell discounted tickets to the theme park. An adjacent campground complete with pool, miniature golf, game room, laundry, and other amenities is available for tenters and RVers. The cost of a tent site during the summer season is only 19.95 nightly. Campers can use the park's free kennel service for vacationing pets. Park planning has considered all family members. The shopper who purchases a trinket to commemorate a vacation has a range of choices from park souvenirs through crystal collectibles. Families uncomfortable with omnipresent alcohol can vacation here with ease. Alternatively, Casey's Grill sells cold ones to adults who enjoy a beer with a meal; there is not another beer outlet on site. In response to visitor feedback, Carowinds is the primary venue for Christian music in the Carolinas. Subway and other familiar chains have on-site restaurants. The hamburger crowd can feed for around four dollars. Southern style heaping plates of friend chicken and country ham at the Country Kitchen Buffet satisfy the big eaters at around ten dollars a dinner. Bring-it-yourselfers will find picnic tables. Guest Services are happy to locate a restaurant in or out of the park that suits you. Four days at a theme park isn't everyone's fantasy. Nevertheless, for a safe, inexpensive, hassle-free family trip, this one is hard to beat. If you figure twenty per night for camping and purchase a family season pass, you'll be able to swing quite a few weekend breaks.
