Ms Budget Travel is always overjoyed when she stumbles across --- or in this case-- is pointed to new travel resources on the Internet. She's aware that the tiny tingle of euphoria she feels whenever a new site crosses her monitor might make her less than objective. With such self knowledge in mind she can't help but be a tad more critical than she would otherwise, so please bear in mind that Ms Budget Travel has foregone her customary soothing drink and is gazing at these sites in the cool clear light of day.
Http://www.sidestep.com is a site that searches a variety of engines and pulls offers onto your screen from all across the virtual world. Unlike other sites you don't purchase from a third party, instead you click onto the airline or hotel web site to complete your arrangements directly with the company. It promises to find you offers that aren't available elsewhere cause it loves you, it really does. It wants to please you and find those "hard to find internet specials." Well, Ms Budget Travel saw it do that but she isn't certain that it does that one iota better than one can do on one's own. On the downside, if you are seeking a specific hotel it is difficult to refine your search and you'll have to scroll through almost endless offerings to get what you're after. And another thing that made Ms Budget Travel a tad grumpy was that to use side step one has to download the software onto one's computer. Ms Budget Travel is waiting to see if her spam increases. She has nightmarish recollections of a cute little cursor program in her past that was corporate spyware. http://www.bluway.com Ms Budget Travel is delighted with this brand spanking new comprehensive guide to gay, lesbian, and liberal folks who aren't allergic to going lavender travel. Check out the woman's area for lots of lesbian lifestyle stuff and visit daily for news up-dates that are queer as folk. http://www.site59.com is super if you are in one of the listed market cities. If you are flying from New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, Denver or other large urban markets you can find a get weekend getaway at the last minute here --- it's what they do, it's all they do. . . and for gamblers, the closer you are to departure time, the cheaper it gets. Ms Budget Travel admits she is a tad annoyed that they don't offer flights from her home airport but it's fun to play with the site and day dream. Go To Page: 1 2
