Ahhh. March! March gets Ms Budget Travel all excited because people start coming out of their winter hibernation here in the northern hemisphere and get ready to roam. And much to Ms Budget Travel's amusement and pleasure there are some March specific roams that start off travel season. For whatever reason St. Patrick's Day provokes a lot of fun stuff whether or not one descends from anyone Irish. http://www.emigrant.ie/article.asp?iCate... is an overview of St. Patrick's Day in the States. And this http://www.blarneycanning.com/StPats/ page, a super site links you to St Patrick's Day parades and celebrations all around the globe --- you can wear green everywhere from Australia to Wisconsin. And this article: http://www.usatoday.com/life/travel/leis... also goes global with details about St. Patrick's Day celebrations in settings as diverse as Singapore and San Francisco. Ms Budget Travel thinks that any excuse one can find to drink green beer is a good one this month. And if the 17th doesn't get the carousing out of your system, she's also aware that this is Spring Break month from Maine to Mexico. Chances are if you are a dedicated Spring-breaker you've already made your plans but the other three thousand of you on the lookout for something to do might want to check into these pages for suggestions: http://www.studentadvtrav.com/ http://interoz.com/springbreak/ http://www.daytonabreak.com/ http://www.ebonylove.net/events/ http://www.boersmatravel.com/AgencySpeci... http://www.mexicospringbreak.com/rosarit... http://generous.net/cal/8.shtml http://www.jwpublishing.com/gayscape/eve... There now, Ms Budget Travel has included links to a variety of different spring break options for different locations, ethnic groups, and sexual orientations. That done, Ms Budget Travel, tired old lady that she is, wants to remind you of a few Spring Break/ St Patrick's Day rules for safety . . . When you are going drinking in groups, and don't roll your eyes at Ms Budget Travel, she knows you are . . . keep a copy of your hotel's address and cab fare in a safe secure tucked away place, you may get separated from the rest of the gang. And all you dear children who crowd in a single hotel room each need your own key, not only will it aid you in getting back into the room, it will allay half of the suspicions of hotel security when they find you puking into a potted pant in the lobby at two in the morning. Pack Alka Seltzer, Aspirin, or whatever you think might work for the morning after on top of everything else in your suitcase. You will need it and you won't want to paw through things looking for it.
