Ms Budget Travel Gets Back to Work

Having spent last week having a minor little fit of the vapors, Ms Budget Travel is ready to make amends . . . she's risen from her chaise lounge where she spent most of the week with a cool cloth applied to her throbbing head and she's stumbled around the internet gathering resources for other travelers . . ..

As always, while it can't change weather or cancelled flights, information makes all things endurable or interesting . . ..

A little knowledge is a less dangerous thing than ignorance . . .

If you are headed to the UK and need tickets to a concert or an event check out http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk. In their news section, you'll find information about forthcoming events and on-site you can sign up for Ticket Alert, an e-newsletter that gives you weekly information about what's on-sale.

At US Airways site, http://www.usairways.com, you'll get a ten-dollar discount off already low e-saver fares simply by booking on-line.

If you haven't been by http://www.railpassexpress.com you absolutely owe it to yourself to do so before hitting the rails ---- click on what's new for information about incredible bargains on stuff-you-need. Rail pass express is offering 50% off the price of Britrail Youth passes when purchased in combination with Eurailpasses. If you have always planned to do Britain with your kids, they'll spot you a free kid's pass with your purchase of selected adult Britrail passes. Two children under sixteen travel free with an adult purchaser of a Sweden Rail pass.

You'll have to excuse Ms Budget Travel, she's getting faint with excitement, while she reclines on her chaise lounge, why don't you run over there and have a look? I'll be here when you're done.

As previously stated --- you do recall Ms Budget Travel's every utterance, do you not? Please do not tell her that you forget even one bit of the wisdom she conveys. Ms Budget Travel recommends that you really shop around for your air line tickets, she suggests that you hit http://www.travelocity.com, http://www.expedia.com, the individual airline web pages and http://www.lowestfare.com but you need to know that lowest fare has been having a touch of web-trouble lately --- the site loads slowly and frequently refuses to search for distant dates. Hit that site when you have all night, not when your boss stepped out for a few minutes.

Ms Budget Travel often has the illusion that she will avoid hostels in the future --- then she ends up once more sharing a sink in Edinburgh with a drunk, hostile Dane who describes her last three boyfriends in Too Much Detail when Ms Budget Travel simply wishes to brush her teeth and crash. If you are a hostel-addict or just curious about the world where German speakers shriek in the middle of the night and English women stick straight pins into parts of themselves --- or you just want a cheap sleep check out http://www.hostels.com it's the best directory of hostels complete with anecdotal wisdom on the web.
