This week's web travel results in a series of specials for fall and winter travel. Ms. Budget Travel busily trolls the Internet occasionally and it's been one of those weeks.

First and foremost in her finds is a new type of Britrail pass for the short stay traveler who is Britain bound between now and New Year's for only $101 (second class) you can travel the British Rail system anywhere you like for a four day period that includes a Saturday night. Check it out over at http://www.railpass.com. That's four days of travel anywhere in the UK for less than the price of a one-way ticket from London to Edinburgh. You can upgrade to first class for twenty-eight additional dollars. This is a limited time deal.

On the other side of the pond, check out http://www.amtrak.com for special rates on the Auto Train. From Sanford, Florida to Lorton, Virginia you'll save 30% of the fare by booking before December 31, 2000. You can ride up the east coast and avoid I-95, saving your energy for sightseeing.

If you are interested in Canadian travel check out http://www.greyhound.ca for details on their Companion fares. When two adults travel together, they pay half-price for the second ticket.

For USA bus travel stop by http://www.greyhound.com to find out about the Ameripass program. For US citizens the price is $209.00 for seven days travel anywhere greyhound goes. Foreign visitors can purchase the pass for only $179 but must be able to produce a passport or other proof of non-US citizen status upon request. More information about travel in the USA is available at http://www.USATourist.com

During these days of hub-based air travel, many of us are accustomed to knowing exactly which airline will be on before booking a ticket. If you are a regular United route flyer check by http://www.expedia.com if you buy a United ticket through expedia between now and Halloween you'll get 30% off your next United flight. Check the offer details carefully to avoid disappointment.

Not to be out done http://www.travelocity.com offers a few fall deals. Visit travelocity and hit the deals logo, you'll find links to lots of sites that offer bargains.

If you are planning on a ski vacation this year, it seems best to book ahead. Go by http://www.loding.com and hit the ski break logo for current news of ski packages.

Well, that's it for this week guys, happy rails, trails, and slopes.
