Not Stupid

Well, for those of you eager to assess the ongoing stupidity of Ms Budget Travel, this week will be a rather huge disappointment. The unthinkable happened. Ms Budget Travel managed packing, getting to Dragoncon in Atlanta (check it out at: http://www.dragoncon.org/ ) and getting home without doing anything horrendously stupid. Fred, (Hi Fred!) and Ms Budget Travel had a rather pleasant trip down to Atlanta despite the fact that Fred threatened to take us out between two semis because Ms Budget Travel felt compelled to do her Rainman imitation. But, what's a little murder-suicide among friends? We made an amazing discovery. On our journey from Charlotte to Atlanta the famous Gaffney Peach http://www.gaffney-sc.com/Waterpeach.htm which in reality looks somewhat obscene was on the right hand side of the road, on our return trip it had mysteriously moved to the left hand side of the road. Some time in the post arrival blur I found out that Ann (Hi Ann and Hi Mel) can do impossible things with portions of her anatomy and that feeding her brother's fingers to his dog was not a revenge sort of thing. Ask Bill if you want details --- Hi Bill! Ms Budget Travel thought that the first time she was in Atlanta around July Fourth was to see Janis Joplin. Like many dead people, Janis has a website here http://www.officialjanis.com/html/main.h... which reveals Ms Budget Travel is somewhat addled. The play date for the Joplin concert she recalls in Atlanta is December. Find Pat (Hi Pat); ask her who we saw in Atlanta. While you're at it, find out when Joplin played in Charlotte, NC --- I can't find the play date and I know that concert happened. You might ask Johnny, Susan, Curtis, or Rocky if you can find them. (Hi Guys!) At Dragoncon Ms Budget Travel saw and consumed alcohol with numerous old friends (Hi Bell, Kelly, Hodge, Gi, Diane, and Scott) and met Anna from Germany. She promised Anna she'd mention meeting her which prompted this annoying habit Ms Budget Travel developed of saying Hi to people throughout this week's entry. Meeting Anna was a kick because she's a very funny lady who bought Ms Budget Travel a drink and because Anna got information about Dragoncon from reading Ms Budget Travel's regular newsletter in German over at http://www.USATourist.com where she becomes Ms Travel. Note to readers: Always buy Ms Budget Travel a drink when you encounter her. Ms Budget Travel will be very careful to let you know when to look for her at The Swan on Bayswater Road in London this year and will try very hard to keep you informed regarding her other travels so that you can email her information about the appropriate area bars.
