Well, I've done it again. Taken a trip and neglected one major detail.
The article's posted but nobody's home. Ms Budget Travel needs to apologize to you. She left her lair mid-March and will creep back in early April. Seriously, I am sorry. My response time to e-mail is always slower when I'm on the road and I'm not able to post breaking bargains while I'm rambling. I really will make an effort to let people know before I blip off into the world of three dimensions for an extended stay again. I check in from cyber-cafes. Travelers seeking cyber hook ups before their journey can check out http://www.internet-magazine.com/resourc... for a listing of internet cafes in the UK and other parts of Europe. It links to http://www.netcafeguide.com/ Be a tad leery of this site, it keeps insisting that you might be interested in a softbound book giving you cyber café locations all over the globe. You can use the on site search engine if you are patient with the endless ads for the book combined with pop ups asking you to play lotto on line. As much as I'd like many writers to be successful in their enterprises, I don't think a cyber café guide is an essential. In most places outside the USA it's easy to find a cyber café, simply ask where you're staying, or at tourist information, or walk down the street. And, regrettably many Internet cafes open and close quicker than a vacation romance. The book may be out dated before the print is dry. While every Costa Coffee, Kinko's, and Laundromat in London seems to be a cyber café these days - I do have my preferred perches to check in when I'm in Blighty. Since leaving my lair I've undoubtedly signed on at the Web Shack, 15 Dean Street, in the heart of Soho. Full of emaciated, elongated Scandinavians who seem to be visiting Earth from somewhere infinitely cooler and trendtastic the Web Shack is just cyberpunk enough to feel safe if you send obscene e-mails to friends in Wichita. Web Shack seems haunted by net addicts on a hyper high eagerly emailing people that they have very strong emotions toward. Http://www.webshack-café.com will take you to their graphics and shockwave show - you'll learn nothing about the facility but it's kind of fun to sit and stare. Web Shack serves hard liquor, they claim they have food but I've never encountered it. Go To Page: 1 2
