The Mother of all Travel Sites !!!!

It is almost overwhelming --- http://www.travigator.com . Among the enormous number of travel web sites Travigator is a monster site. A virtual super store of destination data and links to a variety of travel sites. From Travigator you can bounce into backpacking sites run by enthusiastic amateurs and commercial sites run by corporations.

What are you looking for?

Need a kosher restaurant in Omaha? Want to schedule a wedding in Singapore? Don't know if a citizen of Thailand needs a visa to visit Jerusalem? You can find all these facts by hanging out at Travigator. Along with links to places that can teach you how to ask the location of a toilet in Denmark.

A descendant of the dearly departed Travelmag, one of the first on-line travel sites, Travigator is an over loaded storehouse of links, and information.

Beyond information, Travigator offers some unique services. The Special Agent feature on the website gives access to a collection of travel agents. The surfer submits his or her request for a cruise to Cancun or a budget hotel in Amsterdam and the form zips out to the travel agents that've registered with Travigator. Within about twenty-four hours the email comes. Every agent who specializes in the product you are seeking emails you with options.

It is a sure antidote to purchase anxiety --- the normal way of the web is a soon as you book Club Med at one price you find a site that offers the same deal for less --- with the Special Agent feature you have a shot at getting the best possible price for the product.

I am also a fan of the travigator newsstand. This nifty feature allows you to subscribe or unsubscribe to a long listing of travel e-mail letters on one web page. From professional travel newsletters to destination information you can click it into your e-mail box.

If I have a complaint about Travigator, it is that it is too comprehensive --- with links to all my favorite sites: kasbah, travel lang, and others it is possible to spend hours leaping off the Travigator site.

Thanks for stopping by this week ---if I don't see you next week I'll assume you were stuck surfing via Travigator.
