Every day something new and different drifts across the net - travel netsam flows fast.

Recently readers have emailed me about a recurrent travel scam that shows up cyclically. Offers asking for your credit card information are spamming the world. Watch out for unsolicited email asking you to enter and win a trip to anywhere. Without making any accusations it is fairly safe to say that you should never email your credit card number to anyone. It is also wise to avoid e-shopping with merchants that come looking for you. Bulk emailings offering riches, business opportunities and trips to Cancun that seem to good to be true put me in mind of a old caveat - If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. The current e-mail that I have received states misleadingly that I have been "chosen" to enter to get three vacation packages. (Oh, goody! May I have the Brooklyn Bridge as well?)

Ignore these swindlers and search for all the legitimate ways to start your trip at your PC by visiting web pages of airlines you know and tourist information offices. Check out the links below for some news you can use.

Canadian flyers will find the ticketing process a tad smoother starting this week. Travelocity.ca has just introduced e ticketing on its web site.
