It's the end of the holiday season, time to clear away the wrapping paper and total up the bills and, for some of us, time to plan the next great escape. Many merchants are lined up to start '99 with some super savers on travel. If you're eager to escape the winter doldrums or check out a different part of the world, it's a great week to web ski into some new terrain.

Northwest is advertising multiple discounts for USA domestic travel and international travel including an incredible fare of $169 from Philadelphia to Amsterdam. The bargain travel time period is between January 11 and April 30, 1999, BUT tickets must be purchased by January 15, 1999. Southwest airlines will be servicing New York Metro beginning March 14, 1999. You can start booking low fares today by calling 1-800-I-FLY-SWA or your travel agent.
