GREAT USES FOR BASKETSHello again, gather up all your baskets for this weeks project. This week I am going to give you several uses for those VERY inexpensive wicker type baskets. Remember to watch for them at yard sales, you can buy them for pennies. My favorite technique is to enhance cheap light fixtures. In many cases you can just remove the globe, cut an appropiate size hole in the bottom of the basket, slide it onto the fixture, then re-attach the globe. Though in some cases, the light fixture will have to be removed, attach the the basket to the ceiling, then re-install the fixture. This particular method may seem like alot of trouble, BUT it will be so worth it! Also, remember you have so many choices about the color. You may choose to use the baskets natural, paint them, or even stain them. Another use is LAMPSHADES. This method is also very simple. Remove the clip-on hardware from old or damaged lampshades, cut the whole bottom out of your basket, attach the hardware to the basket, using glue, let it dry and you have a beautiful new lampshade. You can also cut a basket in half long ways, and use it as a wall sconce or floral arrangement for your wall. I hope you enjoy using these new ideas to truly enhance the decore in your home. NOW SOME TERRIFIC TERRI TIPS! TIP: #1 - If you have an oily spot on your clothes that you have tried everything to remove, try BABY SHAMPOO. This will work in almost every case! #2 - For a wonderful CHEAP facial mask, mix the least expensive clay cat litter and water to a mud consistency. Apply and let sit for about twenty minutes. You skin will look and feel wonderful. Remember to use NEW cat litter. Though I do believe in re-cycling, there is a limit! HA! 'TIL NEXT WEEK - Terri Landrum
