HOMEMADE DECORATIVE STAMPS

© Terri Landrum

This project is making your own decorative stamps from sponges. You know those sponges that are flattened, you can buy everywhere? That is what you will need. They are so cheap and so available, yet make wonderful stamps. Simply draw your pattern onto the flattened sponge and cut it out! YEP, that is it! Then drop it into water and it will take shape.

This technique is actually to make one of your tools, for crafting and decorating, BUT, there is a method to my madness. I intend to introduce you to a lot of projects, in the future, for which you will need stamps and stencils. This is a great way to build up your stock for virtually no money. PLUS, if you are like me, I can never find exactly what I want in pre-made stamps. SO, spend a few quarters and stock up, because summer is coming and we are going to do a lot of stamping and stenciling.

'Til next week - Terri Landrum
